9 May 2011: Christian turns 40!

A milestone age for a lovely chocolately paragon of a man. But he didn't just turn into his lovely self overnight, right?! So, in honour of this momentous occasion, I'd like to call upon all who know/knew Christian - family, friends, customers?! to share a story about him and thus join us in the celebrations for his 40years.

To get the ball rolling, answer the survey questions below and see how much you know about our darling Head of Hoffs in Brussels:)

Then POST! your story and we'll share it with him on his big day (no, he has no idea that we are doing this;)

Chris is my brother from another mother, yes I am Darleens youngest sister Chevy.

We'll where do I start, when I first heard that my sister was getting bonked by a danish chocolate eating man I thought to myself what the hell have we got here. Not only did he have the strangers looking glasses like steve urchil but he wore braces like my dad who was 30 years older than him. I know that there is a saying that a daughter will normally marry a guy that is like her Dad, but damm I thought personality not clothing.

But Chris is one of a kind and I can see why my sister truely loves him.

He has passion for chocolate and cars, he is a character I mean a real character. How many people go surfing with glasses on, not sunglasses, reading glasses. Yes my brother does. On a visit to NZ my husband Daniel and Chris went for a surf at the famous Mt Maunganui in Tauranga. What happened then you could only imagine. Chris with his glasses and khaki pants and his surfboard under his arm, He was ready to surf the mighty waves of NZ. Well not really because it didnt take long and Chris was digging for pipis (Darleen will explain this to you, but actually he was looking for his expensive glasses. He was a mess pants halve down, bum crack hanging out looking like a drowned rat,to make matters worse he was spending so much time looking for them that he didnt realise the tide was coming in, which meant his towel and new book he had just bought was in the water too. PRICELESS!!

Seriously who could not enjoy life with Chris he is fun, he is a great father to my niece and nephews, and a great man for my sister. We love him for the person he is and we all wish we could be there to spend this special day with you my brother.

Thank you for all of your laughs and chocolate. We wish you a very happy naughty forty birthday from your family in NZ will be thinking of you and Im sure some of us will be having a drink for you.

Love and miss you guys lots,

The Taylor, Tana, Edwards Whanau xxxxxx ooooooo

Claudio & Laurence

chris, man. if i could remember stories, i'd add them here, but being significantly older (5 hard years) and having been abused by chemicals, alas memory eludes.

what does stay, is the effortless friendship that has remained since the long haired, multi coloured glasses days at steves house in coventry (braces also made regular appearances).

till next time dude. barn ad

aww bless!!
